anti.spam is a small group of people who aim at spoiling the e-mail
adresses databases that are used by spammers (and which they resell to each
other), according to the wpoison (http://www.monkeys.com/wpoison/) principle.
To get this done, this site provides two tools:
- a database with the e-mail addresses contained in the From: field
of proven spams ;
- an interactive spoiler "tool": Dave.

You can contribute to the fight against spam and to the anti.spam
by inserting links to Dave in your own web pages, in a

The Wpoison concept:
The Wpoison concept is very simple. The spammers make programs that can be
used to automatically scan thousands and thousands of web pages, searching
for e-mail addresses they then use to send spam or resell to other spammers.
As a whole, these "web trawlers" are as much clever as the spammers themselves,
who use and/or develop these pieces of software, ie not much. Most of these
programs can be easily fooled with many phony or unusable e-mail addresses,
as long as said bogus addresses are stored inside ordinary web pages, that is,
outside of any script. It is here that Wpoison appears.
